Description

The EUGLOH 3D printing and its medical applications course is divided into two parts: 10 students who successfully completed the online course with outstanding results will become eligible to participate in the hands-on part and additional 15 students who are motivated and interested in the hands on course (the on-line course -held in the fall semester 2024 –teaching material is available on-line and strongly to watch it before the on-site course)

EUGLOH Certificate and 2 ECTS will be provided for the students accomplishing the EUGLOH 3D printing and its medical applications hands-on part. Students will be evaluated at the end of the course according to their contribution to the tasks and the quality of their work.

Content and Methodology

Topics of the physical part:



  • 3D medical images (e.g. acquired by CT, MRI)

  • Using the 3D Slicer software

  • Digitalizing objects (i.e. 3D scan them)

  • Elaborating on the key steps of 3D printing (slicing, support generation, part orientation, post-production). Optimize these steps according to the object’s requirements.
