Are you a veterinary, medical, criminalistics, or law student interested in forensic science? Do you like animals and want to learn more about their behavior?

Join us on a journey into crime investigation, where you will work on real forensic cases involving animals. Discover how veterinary medicine, criminal investigation, and law come together in forensic science. Explore animal behavior, analyse evidence, and see how crimes involving animals are solved!

Format of the activity:

  • Online classes, workshop (presentation and discussion on animal forensic cases), project-based learning by investigating criminal cases where animals are involved.
  • Field investigation of simulated forensic cases (group activity)
  • Collaboration of teachers from Paris-Saclay University and Lund University.

The course will offer 3 ECTS to students. 

Dates: The course will take place from June 1st to June 10th. The Synchronous online component from 1 June to 5 June and then presential sessions at the University of Alcala the days 8, 9 and 10 of June.

Prerequisites: Being a veterinary, medical, criminalistics or law student interested in Forensic Sciences where animals are involved. Priority will be given to postgraduate students who work on topics related to animal/human life/health, criminalistics, criminology, and law.
