Description | Are you looking to meet new people with diverse cultural backgrounds and to make new friends while gaining intercultural competence? Then look this way! The Intercultural Skills Programme offers students a unique opportunity to gain theoretical knowledge about interculturality, which is essential in today's globalised world. It also allows you to meet new people in a social setting! The programme takes place both online and in-person at your home university. It is open to all students at any EUGLOH university. The programme is structured in a mentorship format where you get placed in a mentor’s group with students from your own university who have different cultural backgrounds than your own. During the programme you will attend 3 online lectures where you gain insight into different concepts of interculturality. You will also get the chance to interact with students from other universities across Europe. During the programme you will be expected to meet twice with your mentor group, both to discuss and reflect on what you have learned in the online lecture. Furthermore, there will also be 2 social gatherings organised by your university where you get to meet and do something fun with all the students in the programme from your university. Sounds interesting? Apply today! Participants will be chosen based on a motivational letter. Please address the following questions in your motivational letter: 1. Why do you want to participate in the Intercultural Skills programme? 2. In what way do you think intercultural skills could benefit you in your future career? 3. Tell us abit about your current intercultural skills! I.e cultural background, experience abroad or other intercultural experiences. Lectures for the programme will be during the following dates. Please note that participation in all lectures is a requirement. You will also be expected to attend two social events as well as meeting with your mentor group twice during the programme.
