Description

The course will provide the setup for developing and encouraging an enquiring and creative attitude leading in turn to diversified thinking and openness of mind. In addition, through interaction students will increase mutual understanding and enable unpredicted, positive outcomes while acquiring the skills necessary for humanistic leadership necessary in today’s globalized world. Creativity is essential in scientific research and progress, and considering humanities will help scientists in this regard. The objective is to learn to communicate across different academic fields, and at the same time across different cultures, through the exploration of the various aspects of Arts and Sciences respectively (Music, Literature, Biology, Physics, Chemistry).

Content and Methodology

Students will study the following topics: Media literacy ; Interconnections of arts and sciences and their various outcomes ;The understanding of the historical change in how facts have been understood in the humanities vis-a-vis in natural sciences ; Willingness to communicate in English as a foreign language and intercultural communicative competence .


Students will be exchanging and collaborating in small groups of 4-5 students, one from each participating university. Students meet online over 5 weeks to discuss/work on specific topics provided by teachers and attend the rest of the classes within their respective programs in-classrooms in their universities.


Students will analyze different types of documents, view lectures about the influence of humanities on science and vice-versa, and create a joint specialized project.


Students who validate the course will receive a certificate attesting their skills in "Mediating Communication - Facilitating pluridimensional network connections»
