What is the EUGLOH Intercultural Skills Programme?
The programme is structured in a mentorship format, with each participating EUGLOH university forming student-led mentor groups. Each mentor group includes 1 group leader and student participants from your own university with different cultural backgrounds. Over approximately a month and a half, you and your group will join three online lectures that provide insights into various concepts of interculturality. In these online lectures, you will have the opportunity to engage with students from other universities and hear diverse perspectives. As a student leader for the programme, you will organize and lead two social meet-ups with discussion points from the lectures.

What does it mean to be a group leader in the EUGLOH Intercultural Skills Programme?
Before the programme, you will be invited to a training session from November 5-7 held physically in Lund, Sweden, to learn how to facilitate intercultural discussions and gain practical experience and tools for mediation. In total 27 students (3 per partnering EUGLOH university will be chosen) will attend the group leader training days in Lund.

When attending the three online lectures with your group, you will explore various concepts of interculturality, as mentioned above.

Additionally, there will be two discussion/social gathering meetings that combine academic and social elements. You will organize a meeting with your mentor group, spending the first hour discussing topics from the online lectures, followed by time to get to know each other and socialize.

To take part in the programme you must be available all the following dates and times:

  • Wednesday to Friday, 5-7 November – Physical presence in Lund, Sweden as part of the training for you as a group leader

  • Wednesday, 12 November – First online lecture with all EUGLOH groups 17:30-19:00 (CET)

  • Tuesday, 18 November – Follow-up discussion and social gathering in person at your university for your group 17:30-19:00 (CET)

  • Tuesday, 25 November – Second online lecture with all EUGLOH groups 17:30-19:00 (CET)

  • Tuesday, 2 December – Follow-up discussion and social gathering in person at your university for your group 17:30-19:00 (CET)

  • Tuesday, 9 December – Third and final online lecture with all EUGLOH groups 17:30-19:00 (CET)
