The course Building Soft Skills in the Digital Age is designed to help students develop essential soft skills—digital literacy, communication, critical thinking, collaboration, and problem-solving.
During the course, students will work on developing digital literacy skills in an academic setting, enhance their collaborative and communicative skills and engage in discussing global issues.
They will learn how to give and receive constructive feedback and how to implement digital tools for group work and problem-based learning.
These skills will be built around the discussion of real global issues in class and small groups through problem-based tasks.
The topics used as the foundation for group discussions and problem-based learning are based on sustainable development goals of the United Nations, namely SDG3 Good Health and Well-being and SDG4 Quality Education.
For the collaborative work and their presentation, students will learn how to use digital tools such as Padlet, Canva, Miro, Prezi. At the end of the course, reflection activities will provide an opportunity for joint and individual assessment of the experience and the process.
