Description |
After having completed their participation in the first edition of the EUGLOH Certificate of Advanced Studies in Global Health offered by LMU Munich since the spring of 2024, students will have the chance to directly engage with the content and methodologies they learnt and present their research during a poster presentation session. This activity will allow students to showcase their projects addressing complex global health challenges in an interdisciplinary setting. Drawing on insights from the vast diversity of disciplines they represent, the presentations will reflect the broad range of expertise students have gained and deepened during their participation in the programme.
The programme's international scope will be highlighted, as students from diverse geographical and cultural backgrounds will present case studies in groups, providing a rich variety of perspectives on global health issues and fostering interdisciplinary and international competencies. This experience will not only demonstrate the students' comprehensive understanding of global health but also foster dialogue between professionals from multiple disciplines, furthering collaboration in tackling worldwide health challenges.
This poster session will be included in the programme of the upcoming “Global Health Day 2025” at LMU Munich, an event aimed at connecting researchers, educators and staff to strengthen EUGLOH as a platform for interdisciplinary and international education, research and innovation in Global Health.
This workshop is only open to students from the 1st Cohort of the EUGLOH Certificate of Advanced Studies in Global Health. |

Content and Methodology |
The poster presentation session will be organised using an experiential and collaborative learning methodology: participants will apply the knowledge and skills they’ve gained throughout the EUGLOH Certificate of Advanced Studies in Global Health. Students from various disciplines will address real-world global health challenges in international and interdisciplinary groups, developing projects that reflect the diverse expertise they've acquired. This hands-on approach promotes active engagement and the ability to deal with complex information in accessible presentations. Prior to presenting their posters, students will take part in an online poster presentation workshop, where they will learn key techniques for effectively communicating their research. The workshop will cover poster design principles, strategies for engaging with an audience, and tips on delivering concise and clear explanations of their work. The interdisciplinary and international nature of the programme will be at the core of this activity, with students from different cultural and geographical backgrounds collaborating on case studies. This fosters cross-cultural competencies and interdisciplinary thinking, enabling students to integrate various perspectives while tackling global health issues. As part of the larger “Global Health Day 2025” event, the poster session connects students to a broader professional community, providing valuable networking opportunities. |
