Innovation and new technologies bring opportunities but also risks for the protection and promotion of Health. This seminar aims to identify challenges and future perspectives concerning the use of AI in the field of research, teaching and healthcare.
The event features interventions by keynote speakers Luís Paulo Reis (Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto and Artificial Intelligence and Computer Science Laboratory) and Pedro Teixeira (Life and Health Sciences Research Institute (ICVS) | School of Medicine - University of Minho), moderated by Margarida Tavares (Institute of Public Health of the University of Porto), with a Q&A period.
During this multidisciplinary seminar, participants will have the chance to learn about the impacts of AI in teaching and research in health, as well as in health decision making processes.
The seminar is part of the conference "Protection and promotion of health in a context of innovation and in an aging world", of the gLAWbalHEALTH Project (Law and Global Health), which is being developed at CIJ – Centre for Interdisciplinary Research on Justice (University of Porto).
The target audience are students, researchers, academics and stakeholders.
