Summary

One of the task forces within the EUGLOH alliance is working towards the particular aim of co-creating an Open Science Training Module with EUGLOH partners. As such, its members have been working on its major update of the DocEnhance module (developed in the DocEnhance Consortium) to make this course available to all interested working in one of the partner institutions of the EUGLOH alliance.

About the course:  

To be familiar with the rapidly changing landscape of scholarly communications and carrying out the research apart following the best standards and practices are to not be separated (for reasons such as ethics, integrity, reproducibility and so on) and should go together. As such, this course, entitled as Data Stewardship will take you thoroughly through different concepts such as data, research data, open data, FAIR/CARE data and help him/her to maximize the overlap between open and FAIR/CARE data to foster the best practices when it comes to initiatives such as open science.

On completion of this online course, you should be able to:

  1. Discuss the purpose and advantages of open science, transparency, reproducibility crisis in scientific research not only with your colleagues but also with non-academic collaborators.
  2. Understand the basics of Research Data Management (RDM)
  3. Understand data lifecycle and apply those steps on your own research projects

Credit points (UPSaclay only):

For students enrolled at a doctoral programme at UPSaclay, 2 credit points can be awarded in the ADUM webpage upon proof of a passed exam in the module.
