To understand the city of Alcalá you must know about it's origins, in this case the roman city of Complutum. Even though the role it had in the context of the peninsula does not  place Complutum as one of the most important cities in Hispania; it is going to be principal in the following centuries, not only for the influence in the development of the medieval city of Alcalá but also in the foundation of the University of Alcalá de Henares in the year 1499. In this tour we will walk the main archeological site that lets us see the main forum of the city and one of the main noble houses, the public baths, the auguraculum and the main insulae and streets of this roman settlement.

We will be meeting at the main entrance of the archeological site at 10:30 in the morning.

The activity is free of charge for local, visitor and international students of the University of Alcalá.

EUGLOH Cultural Corridor (ECC) opportunities are exclusively targeted at participants already located at the hosting institution. Please note that travel and mobility-associated costs are not covered for these activities.
