Innovation Days is an event where students can get closer to innovation from a business perspective.
Outcomes
For the students:
- Encourage students and researchers to think beyond the regular working schedule
- Understanding entrepreneurial thinking
- Learning about different tools and methods that are used to carry out marketable ideas
- Networking with students from other European universities
- Learning about project-based work and tight deadlines
- Improving transversal skills
For the teachers:
- Getting closer to students’ minds and their thinking
- Learning about teaching/mentoring approaches of other EUGLOH universities
- Networking with other teachers from other EUGLOH universities
Short description of methodology:
Students work on real-life business ideas/projects in 3-5 member teams during the event when workshops and professional mentoring will help them go further with the ideas.
The event will end with a pitch of the business concepts in front of a professional jury including academic and business professionals as well as investors.
Students will learn about real-life projects and see that innovation can be found in any fields. The goal is to help them understand what business aspects are necessary if someone wants to start a business based on their innovative solutions. In addition, they can also see that entrepreneurs are not emerging from the field of business only. The person and their idea is more important than what their background is.
To apply to the Innovation Days event, we would like to ask you to please send us a motivation letter in which you introduce yourself briefly and and please include if you have a project idea that you would like to bring or would you rather join a team onsite.
