The European Student Assembly (ESA) is a deliberative event that brings together around 250 students from across Europe. Organized by the EUC Voices Erasmus+ project, ESA allows students to debate and draft policy recommendations on the future of Europe.

Participants are divided into 8 thematic panels, and the experience includes both online preparation and an in-person assembly held in Strasbourg at the European Parliament.

How to Apply

Applications are open from 1 October to 2 November 2025 (23:59 CET) via the EUC Voices website: www.eucvoices.eu

You must apply directly through the ESA application form — there is no need to fill out any additional EUGLOH form.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must:

• Be enrolled in a higher education institution that is part of one of the 65 European Universities Alliances (e.g., EUGLOH)

• Be in at least the second year of a Bachelor's degree, up to PhD level

• Be no older than 30 years

• Be registered for the 2025–2026 academic year

• Not have served as an ESA coordinator in previous editions

Selection Process

• After the application deadline (2 November 2025), a list of eligible candidates will be shared with each university alliance.
• Each alliance will review applications from their own universities and propose a shortlist (usually around five students).
• The ESA Organizing Team will then review these lists and may make adjustments to ensure diversity. Final selections will be communicated to the alliances and then to the students.

ESA Objectives

• Give a voice to motivated and engaged students from diverse backgrounds

• Strengthen community building across European Universities Alliances

• Promote deliberative democratic processes across Europe

• Encourage student participation in European politics at all levels

How ESA Works

• Online Phase (Jan–Apr 2026): Students collaborate remotely within their panel, attend expert talks and training sessions, analyze political/legal contexts, and begin drafting policy recommendations.
• In-Person Phase (20-22 of Apr 2026): Students will meet for a 3-day event in Strasbourg, hosted at the European Parliament. 

Costs and Support

Participation is free. Meals and 3 nights of accommodation are provided. Travel reimbursement is handled by each university alliance at their discretion.
